6-story Neo-Renaissance hotel completed in 1900 as the Cambridge Residence Hotel. It is clad in dark-beige brick above a cream-colored limestone ground floor and basement level. The central entrance is slightly recessed in a large round-arch, atop a set of four granite steps that are flanked two pairs of fluted Corinthian columns supporting an entablature topped by a modillioned cornice and rounded pediment with dentils. The entry has a metal-framed glass door between two windows with matching etching, below a large fanlight. There are four single-windows on either side, with the modillioned cornice extending out to cover the inner bay on both sides. The piers at the partially-exposed basement level are rough-faced, and the basement windows are set behind iron grilles.
The upper floors have a bay of paired windows in the middle, above the entrance. To either side is a projecting, 3-sided bay (with narrow, angled end windows), and two single-windows at each end. The projecting bays spring from rounded stone bases with elaborate floral ornament, and have stone pilasters framing the windows, with paneling on those between each pane. The spandrels between floors are brick, and the projecting bays terminate at the 5th floor, where they are crowned by metal cornices. At the 2nd floor, all the single-windows have stone surrounds, with bellflower-decorated pilasters and tall lintels surmounted by scrolls. A thin sill course underlines the 3rd floor, where the windows have keyed surrounds, and rounded pediments at the middle bays. The 4th-floor single-windows have simple stone sills and splayed stone lintels with keystones. The 5th floor has another thin sill course and hooded lintels. The 6th floor has brick banding, a sill course, and round-arched windows. A grey metal fire escape runs down the middle of the facade, which is crowned by a green metal roof cornice with brackets, dentils, and a frieze decorated with a shell pattern.
