In autumn 1530 the Ottomans first crossed in Esztergom Danube River and divided into several groups have come to Nitra town. Their troops led by Mehmed Beg started ravaging Ponitrie regions, Pohronie, Požitavie and with the tacit support of John Zápoľský. He was counting on the fact that such devastation could weaken the position of its competitor Ferdinand Habsburg, with the Ottomans penetrate to Moravia to his property and completely destroy them. Ottoman troops directed along the river Nitra until Žabokreky the heart, but also river valley Radošinka the surroundings Topolčany and Hlohovec. (Frašták) Other troops pillaged along the Hron to Hronský Beňadik. The year was 1530. She began to fall and the last week of September, the group returning from Turks tired slump in the Upper Nitra. Among the booty from looting it was about five hundred children, among whom were several adult prisoners. The Turks have decided to relax and make a stop for the night in the woods bishop in Fabianová valley. When Moslems pray early in the morning, they came the guard with the news that is coming imperial soldiers. It was, however, the imperial mercenaries palatine Thurzo Alexius, who had a castle in Šintava and possessions in the Vah. Mercenaries only investigated the extent of damage after the Turkish looting his property.
Monographia Nitra County, published in 1896 states that the Turks got scared that the soldiers go into battle. Their commander in panic ordered to kill all prisoners. "She started terrible massacre. Smaller children were in bags, bigger turn tied to the chariot. Adult prisoners managed to escape, but killed the children so that they odtínali head sabers, maces and Jatagan. Of the five hundred children survived some fifty, "says Professor Imrich Točka. From historical sources we know that the palatine Thurzo found on the site of the tragedy about fifty injured children, who drove to his castle in Šintava. What happened to the bodies of dead children, we do not know. Chronicles are silent about the matter of fact. Several historians unite in the belief that Thurzo instructed people from the surrounding villages to bury them a Christian burial. Their final resting places can therefore be more. Up to now, however, it was not found neither.
Otomans directed through the forest road towards the city Frašták, today Hlohovec, and destroy it with fire.
