Spring Valley is a city in Spring Valley Township, Fillmore County, Minnesota. The population was 2,479 at the 2010 census.

Spring Valley was originally settled in 1852, and organized in 1858. It gained its name from several large springs in the area. It was founded in 1855, incorporated in 1872, and reincorporated in 1919 when it separated from the township. A post office began in 1855.

The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad served Spring Valley from 1870 until 1976.
