188-foot, 16-story mid-century modern cooperative-apartment building completed in 1967. Designed by Holden, Egan, Wilson & Corser, it is the shorter, western tower of a 2-building complex, both clad in red brick. It has a 1-story commercial base of light-grey concrete (replaced with brown brick along the middle section facing the avenue) lined with metal-and-glass storefronts that extends just past the west and south facades, and farther at the north end fronting 94th Street. The storefronts have green canvas awnings, and at the north and south ends the base is topped by black metal railings. There is a service entrance at the east end of the south facade on 93rd Street, and to the east are gates entries on both streets into a courtyard area between the two towers.
The main entrance to this building is at the center of the west facade facing the avenue, and has sliding glass doors. The upper floors of the west facade have double-windows at the ends that wrap around the corner for another pane. The middle has two center bays of double-windows, and two 5-window bays on each side. The northern of the 5-window bays on each side has projecting concrete balconies with metal railings at every other floor, beginning at the 5th. The east facade matches the west, but with balconies only at the northernmost 5-window bay.
The north and south facades have single panes at the ends, wrapping around from the double-windows at the ends of the west and east sides. In the middle is a slightly-projecting section with three bays of double-windows, the outer ones wrapping around the corners for another, narrower pane.
The roof line is marked by a white stone parapet, and there is a round water tower enclosure at the middle of the roof, wider and shorter than the one of the roof of the other tower. The base commercial space is occupied by the Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School offices, Royale Cleaners, New Westlane Wines & Liquors, Ivan Pharmacy & Toys, Gentle Dental Center, Columbus Stationery, and Mani Marketplace.
