Teiuş(Tövis)locatet in Alba district, altitude 250 m, along the depressionar passage Alba Iulia - Turda, on the right side of the Mures river, beside the Geoagiu river, into the wine country where white Feteasca and sparkling Spumos are produced.
Avowed city in 1994, todays Teius population is aproximatively about 7400 hab.
Roman catholic gothic style church builded 1449 by Iancu de Hunedoara(Janos Hunyadi).
Early 17th century uniate church, boasting fine byzantine-style paintings.
The town has a pleasant village-like atmosphere.
Not wide away is located the Râmet Monastery.
