Bârlad (also spelled Bîrlad; Romanian pronunciation: [bɨrˈlad] is a city in Vaslui County, Romania. It lies on the banks of the Bârlad River, which waters the high plains of eastern Moldavia.
At Bârlad the railway from Iași diverges, one branch skirting the river Siret, the other skirting the Prut; both reunite at Galați. Along with a maze of narrow and winding streets, Bârlad features several notable modern buildings, including the hospital administered by the Saint Spiridion Foundation of Iași.
In the vicinity of the city there are traces of a Roman camp.

  • For shame city street which crosses the city and who wants to belong to E581 from Iasi to Tecuci, is a very bad state, I almost broke my car there. Although this happens only in the segment of road in the city. Besides the city state road comes back to something reasonable. This is proof of local interest for the mayor's own image. I wish that someone contradict me in the future, but I hope it will be not in 2100.
  • I love u,Flory,my darling from Birlad!!!
