"Description: As its name suggests, this badlands features a petrified forest, but the few visitors who make it out to this surprising landscape also discover a wonderland of hoodoos and undulating, striated sandstone, seamed with coal. Vegetation may be sparse, but the colorful stripes of yellow, red, black, white and gray provide for enchanting hiking."
