Gingilos towers above the Samaria Gorge. 5 hours return stiff hill walk from Xiloskalo. Need a head for heights from 3/4 way up. Not too bad but not for those with vertigo. There is a large cave entrance just above the Col which has been fenced off and care should be taken around this point. There is a minor variation (to the right after the col) on the well-marked route to the summit which bypasses the cave entrance. You should consult a trekking guide before climbing Gingolos.
