5-story Romanesque/Renaissance-revival residential building completed in 1891. Designed by John C. Rume, it is clad in brownstone painted white at the upper floors, and grey at the basement level, the small stoop, the base of the 1st floor, and around the entry. The stoop leads up to a central entrance with a glass-and-metal door, a narrow sidelight, and a fanlight in a round-arch. There is a keystone above the arch carved with a bearded face and flanked by dragons. The short sidewalls of the stoop are topped by black metal railings. On either side of the entry is a round-arched tripartite window in black metal framing, with spiral colonnettes between the panes. The stone at the 1st floor is rough-faced, and there is an incised panel below both windows, where the base is painted grey. There are basement windows on either side of the stoop, behind iron fencing.
The upper floors have four bays of single-windows. The 2nd floor has rough-faced banding, and keystones above the windows with carved, bearded faces. The 3rd floor has incised panels on the piers, with diamond shapes on the wider, middle three. The top two floors have fluted pilasters framing the windows, and each floor is separated by a sill course and string course above the windows. A black metal fire escape runs down the middle two bays. The facade is crowned by a brown metal roof cornice with modillions and dentils. The east elevation facing a narrow alleyway is clad in brown brick.
