  • Yeah, this isn't the nicest neighborhood. Be really careful going to and coming from your car, and you'll want to get in and out before dark. Unrelated to that, this is where I saw "The Lost Boys" for the first time.
  • I Saw Star Wars here for the first time.
  • I saw Star Wars there for the first time and I lied my way into Friday the 13th part 3 because I was underage at the time.
  • With all these people talking about seeing movies there for the first time, it's a shame that the theatres aren't even there anymore. They closed them down several years ago. I, too, remember seeing several nostalgic films here, including Jurassic Park. They also closed down the other AMC theatres farther east on Tyrone Blvd where Montgomery Ward used to be (is now the Home Depot location). This would really seem to be a good location for theatres, with the Muvico ones down at Baywalk failing. I guess most people just go to Parkside now.
