NMMC have its independent source of water i.e. Morbe Dam. Water from Morbe Dam is treated at Water Treatment Plant at bhokarpada which has capacity of 300 MLD. beside Morbe Dam, treated water is also taken from MIDC and CIDCO Hetawane. After checking for residual chlorine, if necessary, chlorine is added in the storage reservoirs. This treated water is distributed to NMMC area. 335 ML water is supplied to NMMC area every day. Out of this, 30 ML water is taken from CIDCO and 50 ML from Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and rest 225 ML from its Morbe Dam. NMMC supplies water to over 1,16,727 consumers through network of over 750 km long distribution systems with 113 service reservoirs.
