House of Wax Bar (New York City, New York)

Bar located within Alamo Drafthouse on the fourth floor which contains a collection of over a 100 anatomical models, 25 wax death masks, wax depictions of birth, syphilis, and lungs afflicted with tuberculosis. It was last on display in Castan’s Panopticum in Berlin which closed in 1922, and put in deep storage until it was rescued in 2016.

The bar is tucked past the ticket booth of the Alamo Drafthousethe theater; a ticket is not necessary to visit the bar and view the models.
