Designed c. 1927 in the Spanish Revival style by Marion Sims Wyeth with interiors by Joseph Urban for Marjorie Merriweather Post {industrialist}. In 1973, she willed the estate to the US Government for use as a retreat where it was declared a National Historic Landmark in the 1980's. It is now adaptively reused as a resort property.
