Amayo Wind Farm is located in Nicaragua on the 'lake' side of the strip of land between Lake Nicaragua and the Pacific Ocean and about 17 km south of the city of Rivas. It was commissioned in two phases (2009 & 2010) and now consists of a total of 30 Suzlon S88/2100 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 63 MW.
Note 1: Phase I is the 'central' group of 19 turbines, and phase II contains the 6 northernmost and 5 southernmost turbines along the road.
Note 2: Turbines T28 and T29 (the 2nd and 3rd southernmost) have been 'moved' since they were constructed in 2010 (as revealed by Google Earth historical images).
