savings bank, interesting place, historic landmark, historical building
Former bank building designed c. 1906 in the Neoclassical style by Helmle & Huberty as the headquarters of the bank, which served a mostly immigrant and low-income community. This location served as the main branch for a long period. No longer a bank, it is going to be incorporated into a 23-story mixed use development by Tavros Development Partners.
It was landmarked in March of 2018.
