Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust serves a population of 450,000 people from a catchment area covering most of West Sussex. The Trust was created on 1 April 2009 through the merger of St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, Southlands Hospital, in Shoreham-by-Sea, and Worthing Hospital.
