The former Central Fairmount Elementary School was built in 1900. It was used as a swing school while other Cincinnati Public Schools were renovated. Central Fairmount was last used as the temporary home of Quebec Heights School until 2012. CPS then decided to close Quebec Heights and disperse the students across other area schools instead of building a brand-new, $14 million Quebec Heights School. On November 8, 2012, Central Fairmount was sold at auction for $310,000.
