Charleston Peak is 11,918 ft (3632 meters) above sea level. It is the second highest mountain of the Spring Mountain National Recreation Area. It is the eighth highest peak in Nevada, and is a secret escape from the Las Vegas metro area. Temperatures on the mountain are usually 25-30 degrees cooler than that of Las Vegas.
