- Notes: This vertical shaft kiln is a variety known as a separate feed kiln. A relatively sophisticated design, it is important for its association with George S. Lee and early industrial development in the San Juan Mining Region. Lee financed the project and was largely responsible for the development of the Capitol City region during the early 1880s.
