Preston is a city in Fillmore County, Minnesota. The population was 1,325 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Fillmore County.
Preston was platted in the spring of 1855 and in 1856 a post office was established. The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad served Preston from 1903 until 1976.
