  The Whetstone Mts. is the location of the "Kartchner Caverns State Park", a beautiful place to visit. It is a small version of the " Carlsbad Caverns" in New Mexico, and just as beautiful. The caverns are located about 10-11 miles south of I-10. It is open to the public year round
