Daeungjeon (main worship hall) is a multi-cluster bracket style building with 3 Kans (1 Kan: distance between pillars) on the front and 3 Kans on the side with brilliant Dancheong (multicolored paintwork).

Daeungjeon was built in 1762. Arched supports hold up the building under each rafter. A dragon head sculpture is set on two main capitals on the front of the building. Daeungjeon enshrined a Mokjo Yeoraesamjonsang (Wooden Amitabha Triad Buddha Statue) estimated to have made in the late Joseon period. Daeungjeon generally enshrines Yeoraesang (Amitabha Buddha Statue), the main Buddha statue in the center, with attendant Buddha statues on the right and left sides of the main statue.

Daeungjeon of Baekryeonsa is Jeollanam-do Tangible Cultural Heritage #136.
