Historic Dumbarton School Site

Named for the community of Dumbarton which started as Staples Plantation or Staples Mill. In 1973 the old part of the school was declared unsafe and was razed. The part closest to Penick Rd. built in 1956 ( the cafetorium ) was incorporated into the new library as the children's room.
