Notable past owners: James Dreher Maitland (1883-?) - president of Colorado Builders' Supply Company, also known as Cobusco Steel Products. A former cotton mill facility that Maitland purchased in 1939 was retooled in 1942 to manufacture munitions for use in World War II and the Korean War. Maitland himself was intimately involved in the design of this retooling, using his background in mechanical engineering.
