One of the most picturesque places in the Kumaon region, this place Kotabagh is ideally situated at the foot of the southern face of the hill Teet. Surrounded on all sides by lush green jungles one famous for their rich flora and fauna which now are alarmingly being destroyed by us, this place has got immense tourist potential. The incumbent government promises to be doing its bit to promote tourism in the Kumaon region but the efforts are too little and too late. The first right step towards this end is to plant more and more trees for converation in the surrounding hills being very porous and prone to land slides, keep strict check over illegal felling of trees by the local 'jungle mafia', and last but not the least bring about awareness of all that has been mentioned above amongst the masses.
