Farmhouse, now house. Late C17 with C18, and early and mid- to late C19 alterations and additions. Timber framed with painted brick nogging on sandstone rubble plinth; red brick partial rebuilding and additions to north-east; plain tile and hipped slate roofs. H-plan; hall range of probably 2 or 3 framed bays aligned north-east/south-west with flanking projecting gabled cross-wings and later addition to south-east. One storey and attic over basement to north-east, and 2 storeys at rear.
