The place where the first habitants of Kavala used to live. Wery well protected by the Walls of the Castle.
Today the place is consider the hot Spot of Kavala tourism. Many taverns are alongside of Poylidou Str. Also the Imaret hotel-monument is there.Cafe's like Glaros and Briki are very famous for pupil of Kavala. The 5th Gymnasiums building is there (During the WWII it was a place of torture for greek rebelions against bulgarians). Since 2000 International Festival Cosmopolis is held there.
