Hunza diet is simple and healthy. The main dishes of huza include Diramphiti,Mulida,Burutz shapik,Sharbat,berikus.chamuriki...... The ingredients of our food are mostly found here in hunza.Farming is done by both man and women.People of hunza give alot of importance to Education and the literacy rate in hunza is 100%.
  • Hunza is still as beautiful as it was 10 years before. I visited Hunza this year ( July 2016 ) after almost 28 years with my family & friends and found it much developed than my expectation. Now you find every amenities of life there. There are very Good hotels and mediocre ones too to accommodate & serve you. The month of June, July and upto mid of August is high season. Places like "Hidden Paradise ( for traditional food), Cafe de Hunza( for good cup of coffee with Walnut cake & breakfast)" are recommended.People are calm , friendly, educated. In july you find lots of Cherry, unripe apples, apricots. There are quite a few trekking places nearby to satisfy the adventurous souls.I highly recommend a day tour to AttaAbad Lake and Khunjerab Pass to see the far end of Pakistan. The altitude at Khunjerab Pass Pak-China border is also a test of stamina due to the lack of oxygen. The Traditional Food of Hunza is amazing and worth giving a try. The use of apricot in the food is very much there either in the shape of pulp, seed or as oil. Mirza Asif Baig, Lahore
