The Ordnance Survey of Ireland indicates no less than a dozen barrows or other earthwork features in the outlined area south of Knockainy and east of Baggotstown. Some of them are easy to spot in the satellite photography, and at least the two southernmost ones are believed to date to the Bronze Age.
