Guamsa is a small Buddhist Temple erected to protect the Five Storied Stone Pagoda of Sangman-ri.
According to the village folk, this pagoda at a height of 3.8m, was originally built in Tap-ri, a village 3km/2mi south of its current location at the Guamsa site, and was moved here in the 14th or 15th century.
