Residence designed c. 1920 in the Italian Renaissance style by Bradley Delehanty with landscaping by Innocenti & Webel for Sam Henry Harris {capitalist, entertainer}. Harris served as a producer and partner of the Cohan & Harris theatrical production firm. Harris also had a secondary residence in Great Neck.

The home was subsequently purchased by Milton Seymour Cohn {industrialist, capitalist}. Cohn served as president of Cerro Wire & Cable Co. of Syosset, and chairman of Continental Copper-Hatfield Wire and Cable. He also served as chairman of United Airport Products and director of Condec Corp.
