temple, folly
Standing in the East Park of Audley End House, the Temple of Concord was designed by Robert Furze Brettingham and built in 1790 in celebration of George III's return to health. Constructed in part from artificial 'Coade' stone, the temple commands fine views across parkland created by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown in the eighteenth century. [from English Heritage website]
