place with historical importance, draw only border, street / public clock
The clock, built in the late 19th century in Boston by the E. Howard Clock Co., was brought to Indianapolis in 1921 by the watchmaker/jeweler Curtis Franklin Terry. He had it erected on the sidewalk in front of his shop at 935 Indiana Avenue.
After Terry's death in 1971, the City of Indianapolis purchased the clock, installing it at its present-day location on City Market East Plaza in 1977.
In 2017, Indiana Landmarks refurbished the clock with a $25,000 donation from local accounting firm Katz, Sapper & Miller.
