International (Intelsat Satellites) Earth Station
Lanlate I Satellite Earth Station was Nigeria’s first international satellite telecommunications gateway to the outside world.
It became operational in March 1971 with one antenna (Lanlate I) tracking the Indian Ocean INTELSTAT satellite. A second antenna called Lanlate II was added in December 1975. This one operates with the Atlantic Ocean satellite.
Today it seems to be abandoned and unsued.
