Inmarsat's transfer orbit support facilities include three full-motion C-band dual polarisation antennas and associated transmit and recive and baseband equipment at three earth stations (Ficino, Beijing and Lake Cowichan).
In addition, to support the on-station operations of its current fleet of ten satellites, (three Inmarsat-2s and five Inmarsat-3s and two Inmarsat-4s), Inmarsat's global TT&C (Telemetry Tracking & Control) network has nine dedicated limited-motion antennas (seven at the above three locations and two at a fourth site, Pennant Point in Nova Scotia, Canada).
There are two back-up TT&C sites, Eik Norway with one antenna, and Auckland in New Zealand with three antennas.

* Inmarsat Broadband Global Area Network Satellite Access Station.
Operates a fully redundant terrestrial network.
Our satellite access stations in Fucino, Burum and Paumalu are linked by leased fiber to each other and to the network and satellite operation centre in London.
Inmarsat protects the satellite command links with NSA type-1 encryption.
