Hidaldo Country's Anzalduas Park and Dam is an International Diversion Dam located on the banks of the Rio Grande River. The park has a park, boat ramp, picnic areas, large pavilion for special events, playground, beautiful moss covered trees, and offers excellent habitat for birding and butterflying. You can get to Anzalduas Park by going south on Conway 2 1/2 miles from the Expressway 83 (Farm to Market Road 1016). Take the road on the right at the Y (old Military Road) and look for the sign. There is a small fee to enter, no camping is available and the park closes at sundown.
