Favorite mooring and swimming point of Dr Lawrence Pleet, MD. ENT based in the San Fernando Valley purchased a house in Temple Bar (#26), which eventually was torn down at a cost of $30,000 to appease the park service. All the cabins in pickle city have been removed, except for a few holdouts. The lake was full when the beach was usable. Lots of pyrite and black sand.
