This is Paravur's national pride. Now it's having a big renovation work with estimated totle of RS 50000000/-. The temple have a ten days celebration ending on Meena Bharani in every year. That is the national celebration for Paravur natives. It is one of the temples which have biggest fire works competition at the end of every annual celebrations.

During the annual celebrations on 10th of April, 2016, a major fire broke out around 3.30 am Sunday when fireworks ceremony was going on. Over 100 dead and 350 injured in the accident as per newspaper reports.
