Now known as Koğ Kale, in the middle ages this was the southernmost fortress of the Empire of Trebizond. The impressive ruin can be accessed from the nearby village of Esenyurt (previously called Dağkale or Işıkdere) to its east, and is located about halfway between the villages of Olukdere and Kırıklı.
