  The District Science Centre, Dharampur, located in the deep tribal belt has thrown open new avenues for exploration to the people of remote part of South Gujarat. It has spread in 4.3 Acres of land & floor area of main building is 1786 sq mtrs. It was inaugurated in 1984 & since then , it has been visited by 58 lakh visitors till April 2014. It is functioning under National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Govt of India. Having a natural pictures background, the Centre has many attractive facets. The Centre has three exhibition halls on popular Science, Perception and Fun Science 3 D show facilty. It has a Children Science Park also. Most of the exhibits are participatory. A newly built Planetarium is unique feature of this Centre.
