The May-Coppock Residence (1988) is a contemporary Craftsman designed by Sarah Susanka, AIA, which was featured in her groundbreaking "Not So Big House" book. Architects Susanka and Michaela Mahady had collaborated on the home in 1987 while both were at the firm Mulfinger, Susanka and Mahady Architects, now SALA Architects. The 5,648 square foot house, including the 2008 addition, uses Asian, Craftsman and Frank Lloyd Wright architectural influences. It has 5 bedrooms, 4 full baths and one partial bathroom on 4.5 wooded acres with a private pond and stream. In 2000 it was purchased by Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra CEO Bruce Coppock and his wife, Lucia May; after Coppock's retirement, they elected to move and put the house on the market in 2016 for $1,975,000; it dropped to $1,795,000 in January 2017.
