This road was created in preparation for the Y2K New Year's crowds at EPCOT. It essentially bypasses all of the main public eastbound traffic leaving EPCOT and lets the Walt Disney World Transportation System Buses drive all the way up to the Magic Kingdom to loop around back to resorts along Bonnet Creek Parkway such as Disney's Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter resorts and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort.
