The centre, which is erected on 110 hectors of land, first came in to be in 1948. The plant has 46 operational bays that are under 263 000m2 (Meter squared) under roof. As the Bloemfontein Region, the centre services its profit centres in several provinces such as Free State, North West and Northern Cape.

The Bloemfontein Region Maintenance Depots are: De Aar, Postmansburg, Lime acres, Upington, Coligny, Bethlehem, Kroonstad and Bloemfontein.
The Centre has six businesses and two depots that are headed by a dynamic team of dedicated, skilled and goal oriented managers and labour representatives, who always live by and share the company's mission, vision and values. With a total number of approximately 2 231 employees including depots, all businesses have their own unique operations.
