Notes: This is one of several houses in the Burdette area that was built by the Three States Lumber Company as a personal residence for one of its mid-level managers. The lumber company folded in 1922, and the only building still standing that is associated directly with the lumber mill complex is the former power house, located just to the north of this house, on Old Mill Road. That building is also listed on the NRHP. This is the better-preserved of two such houses that still exist, and the only one listed on the NRHP.
