Bill was a tough old Swede. He would go out in bare feet and no shirt to feed the chickens in 0oF weather. Mae was the daughter of CharlesnH Newfield, LIRR Engineer/Motorman. The property was in his name. Mae had a huge pot of coffee on the stove that she sold, along with sandwiches, to engine crews from the adjacent LIRR wye. They also had a food stand on the shores of Lake Ronkonkoma. The house burnt down in the 1940's. There hasn't been any usage of the property since then. Built home in 1920's.
