In 1902 Andrew Carnegie donated $10,000 to build this public library facility, which was completed in 1912.
The Library was replaced in 1972 by the current public library at 120 Jefferson Street. After it no longer housed the library, this building had numerous diverse tenants, including Pearl's House of Fashion all through the 1980s, and currently, houses the office of the President of Ripon College.
