Apple Store SoHo (New York City, New York)

USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / New York City, New York / Prince Street, 103
store / shop, Apple Inc., interesting place

Built in a 2-story Neo-Classical 1910 Post Office designed by Thomas W. Lamb, originally known as Station A. Apple expanded into the former post office when it closed in 1999, adaptively reusing the building as the SoHo Apple store in July 2002.

The interiors have been re-designed in a modern style (by design firms Bohlin Cywinski Jackson and Ronnette Riley), including a glass staircase. Glass is also used for the stair sidewalls, a bridge (connecting the two sides of the upper floor), and the 70-foot skylight. The exterior remains clad in the original limestone and tan brick, with a triangular pediment over the main entrance.
