    This is a small town and a taluka place situated about 700 feet above sea level having a typical coastal climate and a cool winter because of it's height. Developed mainly because of the agriculture university and a large campus etc. There are several places to visit nearby like Harnai, Anjarle, Dabhol, Burondi etc.; some temples, a lot of scenic beauty, many beaches etc.
