Sangamner is located in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra state in India. It got its name because it is situated on the site of the confluence (Sangam) of three rivers, Pravara, Mhalungi and Mahanuti. It is famous for it's cloth market, educational facilities, sugar factory and agriculture as well as tobacco products (Cow brand). It is the famous for Marathi poet Anant Phandi (1744–1819), who sang the Powadas(ballads).
