In the 40s-50s/early 60s, this was the site of the Pirtleville Baseball Field, where many players of all ages,would play for the local team.There were a few bleachers, but many people would park their cars along the first base/third base lines and watch the games from their cars. A small shack would sell sodas,chips,etc. and some very good home made tacos, tamales, tortillas, etc. People had a great time just sitting nd watching the game
